• 11:40 am – S.C. Lottery to pay for Pick 4 error.  During the South Carolina Education Lottery's evening Pick 4 draw for Saturday, March 13, the numbers 7, 2, 4, and 5 were selected. However, an error occurred when the numbers 1, 2, 4, and 5 were entered into the central system for validating claims, according to a release from SCEL.

• 10:40 pm – N.J. deli waits for its $212M Powerball winner to surface.  Someone who bought a Powerball lottery ticket last week at Gene's II Deli in Morris Township, New Jersey, could be a very rich person, but the winner of Saturday's $211.7 million jackpot has yet to come forward.
• 9:40 pm – States go all in, expand gaming to plug the budget.  Faced with a drop in gambling revenue, states are adding games, considering new casinos and increasing lottery options -- anything to keep their cut of the profits rolling in.
• 7:00 pm – Man retrieves $250K lottery ticket from trash.  A Maryland man threw away a $250,000 Mega Millions ticket before realizing his mistake and finding it after a 90-minute search.

• 12:43 am – Powerball Jackpot Winner!  There was one $200 million jackpot winner from New Jersey in the Saturday, March 13, 2010 Powerball drawing.  More details to follow after the winner comes forward to claim their prize.

Finally, on March 12, 2010, he officially claimed his prize, becoming the second-largest winner in the Virginia Lottery's history.
